First non-stop flight between Da Nang and Bangkok takes off

Da Nang and Thailand are already connected by a non-stop journey for the first time with the arrival in the city on Monday of a direct Vietjet Air flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.

The inaugural flight touched down at the Da Nang International Airport by midday yesterday.

Starting from 15 October, low-cost carrier Vietjet Air will operate 7 Da Nang- Bangkok non-stop return flights per week.

The non-stop flights will depart from Da Nang at 1.35pm, and arrive in Bangkok at 3.15pm (local time), whilst the return flight will take off at 11.10am (local time) from Suvarnabhumi Airport, and land in Da Nang International Airport at 12.50am. The flights will take around 1 hour and 40 minutes.

This is the 7th flight operated by Vietjet Air to have connected Viet Nam with Thai localities. The already-operated flights are between Bangkok and Vietnamese localities of Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Hai Phong, and Da Lat, and between Ho Chi Minh City and Chiang Mai and Phuket.

According to a Vietjet Air representative, to mark the ceremony of launching new direct flights, the budget carrier is offering 3,000 promotional tickets priced from only 68,000 VND per ticket, excluding taxes and fees, during golden hours from 12.00 to 14.00 from 15 - 17 October for booking.

Tickets are available on the website www.vietjetair.com  and applied for flight time being from 16 October 2018 - 30 March 2019.
