Over 1.5 billion VND for creating more beach walkway

Following a recent approval from Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, 1.55 billion VND from the city budget will be spent on creating a new beach walkway at the end of coastal Ho Xuan Huong Street in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward.

The walkway aims to facilitate locals and visitors find it easier to access beautiful beaches which are not vulnerable to coastal erosion.

Under the project, the existing 5.7m-wide walk, with pavements measuring 7m and 2.3m in width, will be kept unchanged and refurbished. Accordingly, focus will be on tiling the walkway, creating stairs leading to sandy area, and planting ornamental trees.

6,680m2 of land at the Sunrise project site will be taken back to implement this project. In detail, the project will consist of a 2,904m2 pedestrian promenade, a 2.273m2 sandy area, and a 1,503m2 green-covered area.

The work is scheduled to start on the project no later than the end of this year.

As per the request from the Da Nang government, the municipal Management Board of Traffic Project Investment and Construction is in charge of managing the project.
