196.7 billion VND to upgrade Ngo Quyen and Ngu Hanh Son streets

196.7 billion VND from the city budget will be spent on upgrading Ngo Quyen and Ngu Hanh Son streets after getting approval from the Da Nang People’s Council.

The purpose of the project is to widen road surfaces in order to improve the safety of road users and minimise the risks of traffic accidents. In addition, the upgrade will help to reduce the prohibited time for trailers and semi-trailers from travelling on the Ngo Quyen-Ngu Hanh Son route in a bid to increase the total volume of cargo transported through the Tien Sa Port.

In detail, the focus will be on upgrading Ngo Quyen and Ngu Hanh Son streets, along with re-arranging the traffic flow along the Ngo Quyen-Ngu Hanh Son route between the intersections of Ngo Quyen and Nguyen Phan Vinh streets, and Ngu Hanh Son and Ho Xuan Huong streets.

Also, the existing frontage roads along the route will be widen from 6m to 7.5m, whilst the existing separating strips will be replaced with 0.5m-wide reinforced concrete ones.

Heed will be paid to installing lighting system, putting power lines underground, and planting green trees along the route.

This project will be implemented during the 2018 – 2020 period.
