A total of 196.7 billion VND from the Da Nang budget will be spent on upgrading Ngo Quyen and Ngu Hanh Son streets.

This project will be implemented in the 2019 and 2020 period. The intention is to widen road surfaces in order to improve the safety of road users and minimise the risks of traffic accidents.

In addition, the upgrade will help to reduce the prohibited time for trailers and semi-trailers from travelling on the Ngo Quyen-Ngu Hanh Son route in a bid to increase the total volume of cargo transported through the Tien Sa Port.

Accordingly, the existing frontage roads along the route will be widen by 2m, whilst the existing separating strips will be replaced with 0.5m-wide reinforced concrete ones.

The focus will be on installing lighting system, putting power lines underground, and planting green trees along the route.

Besides, the importance will be attached to re-arranging the traffic flow along an 8km-long section of the Ngu Hanh Son and Ngo Quyen route between the intersections of Ngo Quyen and Nguyen Phan Vinh streets, and Ngu Hanh Son and Ho Xuan Huong streets.
