City hosts nearly 329,000 visitors during Tet
Da Nang welcomed 328,810 visitors during the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) festival 2019 (2 -10 February), a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.

According to the municipal Department of Tourism, attractive sites included the Cham sculpture museum, the Ba Na Hills Resort, the Da Nang Museum, the Than Tai mineral water park, the Sun World Da Nang, and Son Tra - Linh Ung pagoda.
The number of international visitors to Da Nang during Tet hit 158,328, up 19.9% compared to the same period last year.
Deputy Director of the Department Truong Thi Hong Hanh said this time is peak tourism season for the markets of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Europe and America, and Vietnamese expats.
The increase of holiday-makers to Da Nang is also attributed to the recent operation of international air routes from Incheon, Busan and Daegu of the RoK to Da Nang, Osaka- Da Nang, Bangkok - Da Nang, and Doha - Da Nang.
Da Nang has become a destination for both domestic and foreign tourists thanks to its location near world cultural heritages, diverse tourism products and a port system which can serve international cruise ships.
The city aims to welcome 8.19 million visitors throughout 2019, up 6.9% year-on-year, which includes 3.19 million foreigners, an increase of 11%. The tourism sector aims to gross 27.4 trillion VND (1.18 billion USD) in revenue, up 13.9% against the previous year.
