Construction of key projects back to normal after Tet

Since 10 February (6th day of the 1st lunar month), a bustling working atmosphere has been recorded at the construction sites of Da Nang’s key projects as workers have gone back to work after the 9-day Tet Festival break.

According to Mr Luong Hoang Long, the Director of the Management Board of the ring road project on the southern side of the city, which links Hoa Phuoc commune with Hoa Khuong commune, most of construction workers were assigned to the construction site in order to create enthusiastic working atmosphere with the hope of praying for safety and smooth throughout the year.

Work started on the nearly 490 billion VND project in September 2015. The 7km-long and 41m-wide project features 3 construction packages.

To date, nearly 87% of the package No 3.5, around 94% of the package No 3.6, and 28% of the package No 3.7 have been already completed.

“My unit is facing many difficulties in site clearance and compensation work. If this work is done soon, the construction of the road will be completed on 19 May as scheduled”, Mr Long said.

The upgrading of the Cau Do (Red Bridge) Water Plant with a daily capacity of 60,000m3 of water in Cam Le District is one of the city’s key projects in 2019.

The 1st stage of the over 200 billion VND project features the installation of raw water pipelines and water pumping stations, as well as the building of water storage tanks, water filtration tanks and other auxiliary facilities.

Notable amongst local traffic infrastructure improvement projects is the construction of a 39 km ring road on the western side of the city which connects the 14B Highway with Ho Chi Minh street in Hoa Vang District.

Col Dang Van Quan from the Truong Son Construction Corporation remarked the total cost of the 19km-long and 41m-wide road was 1,130 billion VND.

Work started on the project in late 2018 and it is scheduled to be completed by December 2020.

At the city’s Hi-Tech Park, work has started on the construction of technical infrastructure connecting the Park with the dedicated Information Technology Park, the Headquarters of the High-tech Park Authority, and some other facilities.

In addition, work started on a student hall project on the west side of the city. The project features five 7-storey buildings, two 5-storey ones, a 3-storey student centre, and some auxiliary facilities.

Meanwhile, a bustling working atmosphere was seen at the construction site of the Lien Chieu-Xuan Thieu-Nam O beach embankment project in Lien Chieu District on the first working day after Tet.

The 2,124m-long, over 109 billion VND project is scheduled to be completed by September.
