Socio-economic development targets for 2019 announced

On Tuesday, the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment publicly announced the municipal administration-approved socio-economic development targets for this year.

As for environmental indicators, by the end of this year, the solid waste collection and treatment rate will have stood at 98%.

The fresh water consumption rates in urban and rural areas will be 100% and 97%, respectively.

100% of medical waste and effluent at industrial parks and export processing zones having their concentrated wastewater treatment systems meeting environmental standards will be treated.

All of establishments causing serious environmental pollution will be treated in accordance with the national regulations.

In regard to economic development targets, the city’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) will likely to increase by 7.54% compared with last year to reach 78,500 billion VND, and its average per capita income will be recorded at 3,560US$, up over 6% against 2018.

The city’s industrial production value will stand at 61,600 billion VND. The exports and imports will reach 1,850 billion VND and 1,582 billion VND, respectively.

The tourism revenue will hit over 24,000 billion VND with a rise of 8.1% against last year in accommodation and travel earnings, an increase of 9.6% in the number of visitors staying at local accommodation establishment, and a hike of 10.1% in the volume of international visitors.

The total budget collection will reach 27,379 billion VND, and its total development investment capital will hit 41,600 billion VND.

Regarding social targets, jobs will be created for 559,000 people of working age.

The number of households living below in the national poverty thresholds will decrease to only 1,294.

The rate of compulsory social insurance participation will be 90%.
