South Korean-invested medical device manufacturing plant comes into operation
The ICT Vina medical device manufacturing plant has been put into operation at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park.
Developed by the South Korea-based Dentium Co Ltd, the 20 million USD plant specialises in manufacturing, researching, and developing high-tech medical devices with an annual production capacity of over 11.7 million products.
Included are CT scanners, CAD/CAM lathes, dental grinding machines, artificial teeth implants, and portable dental chairs (with or without dental equipment).
The ICT Vina medical device manufacturing plant was granted an investment licence from the municipal authorities on 30 May 2018.
Work started on the 2.01 ha project on 12 January 2019.
Currently, the plant’s leaders are planning to enroll graduates from universities across the city.
