Tourists flock to the city's popular attractions during 5-day public holiday
During the 5-day holiday break for the National Reunification Day (30 April) and International Labour Day (1 May), Da Nang has welcomed a large number of visitors from both home and abroad.

Such popular beaches as My Khe, Pham Van Dong, Xuan Thieu and Son Thuy are always crowded with visitors in the late afternoons and in the evenings.
According to the city's beach rescuers, the local beaches welcome a daily an average of thousands of visitors and swimmers. Therefore, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches have made their great efforts to ensure the absolute safety of swimmers.
According to the municipal Department of Tourism, travel agencies across the city have received a large number of tourists during the 5-day holiday break.
In particular, the city’s branch of the Viet Nam Travel and Marketing Transports JSC (Vietravel) is estimated to host about 2,500 visitors, the Da Nang Legend Company around 1,000, the city’s branch of the Ha Noi Seven Star Trade and Travel Co Ltd nearly 3,000, and the HIS Song Han Viet Nam Company as many as 2,300.

Besides, a total of more than 20,000 people visited the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park on 28, 29 and 30 April.
The Marble Mountains Tourist Area in Ngu Hanh Son District receives between 7,000 and 8,000 visitors on an average every day, up 19% compared with the same period last year. Specifically, this inviting tourist site has seen a sharp increase in the number of foreigners in recent days.
Ms Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the Deputy Director of the municipal Tourism Department, revealed this year’s 5-day break holiday coincided with the start of these important public holidays in some foreign countries, so there has been a growing travel demand from these countries.
She added the city is predicted to have received an estimated 373,000 visitors over the 5-day holiday break, a rise of 5% against the same period last year. 114,000 of them are foreigners, up 12.4%, whilst the remainder 259,000 are domestic visitors, up 2%.
