City's GRDP grows 6.21% in first half
Over the first half of this year, Da Nang’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) rose by 6.21% compared with the same period last year.
Accordingly, the service sector recorded the highest growth rate with a rise of 7.69%, slightly higher than the same period last year, whilst the industry and construction sector up 4.94%, the agro-forestry-aquaculture industry up 2.9%, and tax on goods up 2.31%.
The city’s total economic value recorded in the first half of the year was reported at 50,758 billion VND.
In regard to business registration, from the start of the year until 15 June, a total of 2,594 businesses, branches and representative offices with a total registered capital of 12,926 billion VND were established across the city, up 8.3% and 6.8% in the number of businesses and the amount of investment, respectively, against the same period last year.
The city’s total development investment capital stood at 19,925 billion VND, up 3.27% against the same period last year. Of this figure, the captial from State- run enterpries reached 3,458 billion VND, accounting for 17.4% of the total, whilst that from the non-State sector made up for 73.2% to hit 14,582 billion VND, and the FDI capital hit 1,885 billion VND, accounting for 9.46%.
By 18 June, the total budget collection had hit 13,765 billion VND, a rise of 9.57% against the same period last year.
The city’s total imports and exports was recorded at 1,175 million US$, down 0.9% against the same period last year.
In detail, the export turnover decreased by 0.03% to reach over 644 million US$, whilst the import turnover went down by 1.93% to more than 530 million US$.
The city’s consumer price index (CPI) went up by 2.38% against the same period last year. In particular, last month’s CPI climbed by 2.3% and 1.94% against last June 2018 and last December, respectively.
