On Tuesday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh had a working session with representatives from the city’s branch of the Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT Da Nang).

In his remarks at the event, Deputy Director of VNPT Da Nang Nguyen Nho Ty said VNPT has got approval from the municipal government to build the Da Nang Bay Information Technology (IT) Park on an area of over 35,000m² at 75 Nguyen Sinh Sac in Lien Chieu District. VNPT Da Nang will take the responsibility for deploying this project.

Vice Chairman Minh urged VNPT Da Nang to provide a detailed plan at a scale of 1:500 for the municipal Department of Construction to collect opinions from relevant agencies. It is expected that the plan will be approved in August.

Mr Minh affirmed the Da Nang Bay IT Park is one of the city’s priority projects. Therefore, he asked the city’s Investment Promotion and Support Board to join efforts with VNPT Da Nang to appeal for even more FDI investment, including inflows from Japan and the USA, into the project.
