Da Nang-Busan air route launched
On Sunday morning, the National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines officially launched its new international route connecting Da Nang with South Korea’s Busan City.
The flights are scheduled to take off at 0.20 am from Da Nang International Airport and at 7:30 am from Busan’s Gimhae International Airport on Tuesdays, and at 0.50 am from Da Nang International Airport and 8.00 am from Gimhae International Airport on Saturdays.
Vietnam Airlines will use Airbus A321 aircraft with four-star international standard for the flights.
The new route aims to satisfy the growing travel demand between the two countries, as well as to bring even more South Korean visitors to such Vietnamese popular destinations as Hue City and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City.
From Da Nang, the South Korean vistors can travel to Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi. They, then, return to Busan City on the air routes, operated by Vietnam Airlines, connecting the two Vietnamese major cities with Busan.
It is known that Vietnam Airlines officially launched its first international air route between Seoul capital of South Korean and Ho Chi Minh City in 1993.
Over the past 26 years, the national flag carrier has operated over 60 scheduled and charter direct flights every week connecting some of large Vietnamese cities with such South Korean localities as Seoul and Busan.
In 2018, Vietnam Airlines carried over 350,000 passengers between Busan and Ha Noi, and Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to promoting trade and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
