Speeding up adjustments to the city's master plan

On Saturday, representatives from Singaporean-based consultancy firms namely Sakae Corporate Advisory and Surbana Jurong, briefed the Da Nang leaders on their reports about adjustments to the master urban plan for the city’s progress by 2030, with a vision towards 2045, and socio-economic development strategies by 2030.

In reply, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh asked the 2 Singaporean consultants to consider constructive opinions from functional local bodies to perfect their adjustments which must focus on highlighting the city’s characteristics and accessing socio-economic and urban development trends in Southeast Asia, and the continent as a whole. The intention is to effectively implement Politburo's Resolution No 43-NQ/TW regarding the city’s progress by 2030 with a vision toward 2045, with an emphasis on developing Da Nang towards the direction of becoming a green, modern-smart, global city with unique identity.

The city leader also urged the foreign consultants to work closely with the municipal Department of Planning and Investment to accelerate their consulting tasks so that their adjustments to the city’s master plan and socio-economic development strategies can be completed by the end of next February.

In addition, he asked relevant local agencies to build working agenda for next year’s Spring Dialogue with a focus on announcing the completed adjustments to the city’s master plan and socio-economic development strategies, promoting linkages with cities worldwide with which Da Nang has set up bilateral ties, and officially releasing future investment projects in the city.
