A total of 10 outstanding entries in Da Nang were recently honoured at the 2019 ‘Startup Ideas’ contest which was within the framework of a creative startup festive day jointly held the municipal Women’s Union and the War Veterans’ Association.

The honoured entries were the application of solar energy and equipment for spirulina farming and processing models, the restoration of the Co Tu ethnic minority group’s brocade weaving craft, the Minh Thien incense products, beauty products made from natural materials, scallion heads in Hoa Nhon Commune, Nam O traditional fish sauce products, multi-purpose washing liquid products, early treatment products for grey hair, gemstone jewelry products, and the planting of sprouts for consumption in the city.

Apart from the contest, the event also featured a wide range of activities, including the display of products made by local businesses and cooperatives, and the introduction of economic models owned by women and war veterans touting for business in the aspects of agriculture, handicrafts, traditional trades, and clean food production.

In addition, there were food stalls featuring traditional and signature dishes of Central Viet Nam.
