Many solutions taken for promoting economic growth

Over the first half of this year, Da Nang’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) rose by 6.21%, 1.03% lower than in the same period last year.

In order to fulfill the city’s target of GRDP growth, the municipal People’s Committee, and relevant local agencies, have been taking more effective measures to promote the development of the local economic sector.

In detail, top priority has been given to accelerating the site clearance work for key local projects to ensure their on-schedule progress.

The municipal Department of Industry and Trade has focused on creating closer links between support industrial businesses, and production and export ones, to create high added-value products. Active support has been given to small and medium-sized enterprises and startups.  

Solutions have been taken to help enterprises deal with their production premises-related problems, conduct their trade promotion activities in a more effective manner, build their brand names, and sell products on ecommerce.

Most notably, the time taken for handling administrative procedures relating to land, and for granting construction licences, has been shortened.

The city’s Department of Construction has been making every effort to quickly complete necessary procedures to ensure the construction progress of key projects. These projects include the Danang Gateway on Vo Van Kiet, the ​​22.59 ha complex of services for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward, a racecourse and Ba Na-Suoi Mo Golf Course in Hoa Vang District, the Da Nang Bay Information Technology Park on Nguyen Sinh Sac Street, and the Viettel Da Nang Software and Hi-tech Centre.

Meanwhile, the local Taxation Department has taken more measures to prevent tax evasion and handle outstanding debts. Also, importance has been attached to speeding up the administrative reforms, enhancing the business environment, and promoting the use of e-invoices on businesses.

As for agricultural sector, heed has been paid to boosting the hi-tech application in agricultural production, and expanding organic agriculture.
