New urban areas to be expanded into southern side of the city
On Wednesday, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho paid inspection visits to the construction sites of some projects in Son Tra and Cam Le districts.

In Son Tra District, Chairman Tho asked the municipal Department of Construction to coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment to recheck land fund for residential purpose on the southern side of the Cam Le Bridge in order to build a new urban area there. The intention is to encourage residents move out of crowded inner-city areas to new urban areas in the southern side of the city.

During his visit to Cam Le District, Mr Tho urged the city’s Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects to plant trees, as well as build an artificial lake, a square and a mini football pitch, along Nguyen The Lich and Tran Van Lan streets in Hoa Tho Ward. More high-rise apartment buildings will be constructed along the streets.

The city leader also asked the Da Nang Power Company and the Department of Construction to recheck vacant land in the city to build transformer stations, and domestic waste collection stations.
He also urged the Cam Le district authorities to upgrade the 3,353m-long Cau Do-Tuy Loan route to ensure the synchronous infrastructure.
