Non-stop Da Nang- Kaohsiung flight opens
On Saturday, non-stop service linking Da Nang to Taiwan’s Kaohsiung city, operated by budget carrier Jetstar Pacific, officially opened.

The airline operate 3 round trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A320 aircraft to meet the travel demands of nearly 4,500 passengers a month.
The flight’s duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
In detail, the flight takes off from the Da Nang International Airport at 8.40am and lands at the Kaohsiung International Airport at 11.55am (local time). The return flight leaves from Kaohsiung at 12.55pm and arrives in Da Nang at 2.25pm (local time).
Tickets for the new air route start from only 480,000 VND (20.05 US$) per leg. Tickets can be purchased at the website www.jetstar.com and ticket agents.
This is the second direct air route of Jetstar Pacific linking Da Nang and Taiwan, following the first to Taipei, which runs 4 times per week, said a representative of the carrier.
The new route aims to create many advantages for Vietnamese tourists to travel more easily to Taiwan and fly back to Da Nang from Kaohsiung.
Taiwan is one of Da Nang’s key tourist markets. Last year, the city welcomed 36,400 Taiwanese visitors in total, an increase of 30% against 2017.
Jetstar Pacific, a member of Jetstar Group, carried 6.2 million passengers in 2018, a 14.3% increase year-on-year.
It has grown from 5 aircraft in 2013 to 18 now, and flies 33 domestic and international routes to 185 destinations in 18 countries and territories.
The two major shareholders of the airline, Vietnam Airlines and Qantas Group, expect the fleet to grow to 30 aircraft by 2020.
