This type of tours has been much favoured by many tourists from both home and abroad, especially the young free and independent travellers who like taking the leap and arranging their trips by themselves using reliable first-hand information.

Vo Thi Minh Hao, the owner of HUHA Home-Da Nang, located on busy Ho Xuan Huong Street, realised that most of the guests who are foreigners are often interested in self-discovery trips. Hao has always managed to make her guests feel at home and gain memorable, relaxing moments during their trips to this beautiful seaside city.

The hostess voluntarily provides her guests with effective recommendations on how to prepare for their self-discovery trips, where to go and what to do in the city.

It is normal that international tourists would like to explore some less visited places highlighting distinctive charm in the city rather than visit popular crowded attractions.

Grasping her guests’ tastes, Hao voluntarily accompanies her guests to such attractive sites as the Hai Van Pass, Ban Co (Chessboard) Peak, the thousand-year-old banyan tree and the Vong Canh Hill on the Son Tra Peninsula, and introduces them to delicious local food.

Through these fun-filled single-day tours, the visitors are given the chance to explore the local culture and be impressed with the friendliness and hospitality of inhabitants.

During her recent trip to the city, Lee Jo Jamie, a Hong Kong tourist, for example, highly applauded Hao for joining with her and her friends to take motorbike rides to the Hai Van Pass and enjoy ‘banh xeo’ (steamed rice flour pancakes). Thanks to these, she had unforgettable memories during her stay in the city.

According to local tourism insiders, Free & Easy tour option is now the best choice for visit.

In reality, the Free & Easy tour is typically more budget friendly. It is perfect for groups of friends who are travelling on a budget as they have the option and opportunity to choose where to lodge, where to eat, and which airline to book flights from to save money.

Moreover, taking this tour, holidaymakers become more flexible, not only for how they spend your time, but also in exploring various places. They get to plan things on their own without having to worry about affecting other tourists’ schedules.

Last, but not least, they can learn more about different places they are longing to visit.

In the face of the upward trend of this tour, many travel agencies operating in the city have offered their clients single day tours featuring such local attractions as the Sun World Ba Na Hills resort, the Son Tra Peninsula and the Marble Mountains Tourist Area.

Mr Le Tan Thanh Tung, the Deputy General Director of the city-based Viet Nam Tourism Joint Stock Company (Vitours), said, his business is launching 10 different one-day tours for customers.

Besides its traditional Ba Na Hills tour departing in the morning, the city-based Hai Van Cat International travel service company (Havatravel) has launched the ‘Sunset over Ba Na Hills’ tour, which starts at 3:30pm and ends at 9:30pm. Taking this tour, visitors will enjoy buffet parties, fresh beer and cable car rides.

More recently, Havatravel has also launched the Havabike service under which its staff members carry tourists on motorbikes to where they want to visit, relax and enjoy local cuisine.
