Mr Vu Xuan Truong, Director of the Incubation Programme of the Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support Company Ldt (DNES), remarked Da Nang boasts the most developed startup ecosystem in the central region and highlands.
He added Da Nang has set a target of becoming one of creative and innovative startup centres in Asia under the Politburo's newly-issued Resolution 43 on the city's construction and development by 2030 with a vision towards 2045. Like Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang has been chosen by the national government to build the National Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
In order to reach this goal, Da Nang has to solve some problems relating to small market size, and lack of high-quality startup human resources. Therefore, the city is in need of creating closer links with neighbouring localities to build a national entrepreneurship network.
In reality, since late 2018, DNES has organised 3 training courses on startup for as many as 100 people from the provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri and Quang Binh.
Accordingly, trainees have been provided with general knowledge about creative and innovative startups, and shared with valuable experience and lessons learned from Da Nang. Also, they have been trained about event planning, community creation and startup support skills.
Ms Tran Hong Hanh from Quang Tri Province said she realised the importance of the local authorities in widely publicising legal issues amongst startups and giving active support for them through the lessons learned from Da Nang.
Meanwhile, Mr Pham Van Dung from the Quang Binh University noted that the most important lesson he has received from the training courses was to how to inspire students to do startup. He also revealed his desire to build a free coffee shop associated with a library in his province.
Me Dung added he would invite speakers to his future coffee shop to talk and inspire students about work and life, thereby helping them develop soft skills and create relationships in a bid to fulfill their dreams of doing business.
CEO of the DNES Pham Duc Nam Trung unlined the importance of providing training courses on startup in the city for a long time in a bid to realise the city’s goal of building a network of startup ecosystems in the central region in the future.
