As part of the 4^th International Startup Conference and Exhibition in Da Nang - SURF 2019, a startup contest will take place in the city from 10 October - 1 November.

The event is jointly organised by the Department of Science and Technology and the Coordination Council for Business Start-up Network (DSC) in Da Nang, along with the Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support Company Ldt (DNES).

It is open to startup businesses which have been set up no later than 5 years, and startup projects having business ideas and solutions, and sample products.

The intention of the contest is to select highly potential startup ideas and projects for incubation, as well as facilitate startuppers to meet with start-up supporters, investors, mentors, and potential partners.

The first prize winner will receive 50 million VND in cash and other gifts from sponsors.

The contest’s top 10 teams will be sponsored to attend the national innovative entrepreneurship day Techfest 2019 in Quang Ninh Province in early December.

In addition, the selected teams will be facilitated to interact with domestic and international investors, mentors, and startup entrepreneurs, thereby opening up many development opportunities for their projects. Their projects will be given the financial aid of around 100 million VND each to perfect their products.
