Online business registration promoted

The department’s great efforts have been paid off as the rate of online business registration dossiers has significantly increased from 8.83% in 2016 to 37.45% in 2017. The rate of such dossiers stood at 41.88% over the past 9 months of this year.
In an effort to boost the rate of online business registration dossiers, starting from early September, the Department has arranged some of its employees at the one-stop shop in the city’s Administrative Centre in order to guide businesspeople to implement their online business registration.
Also, benefits of online business registration has been widely publicised amongst local residents and businesspeople.
Ms Phan Minh Dieu Hang, Deputy Head of the Business Registration Office under the management of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment, said the online business registration system was officially put into operation nationwide by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in early 2013. This has marked an obvious advance in handling administrative procedures for businesses, and accelerating administrative reform as a whole.
She highlighted the significance of online business registration in cutting paperwork, and saving time and costs for businesses. She added as the service opens round-the-clock, businessepeople can submit their dossiers at any time they have access to the internet.
Mrs Hang, however, remarked the online business registration in the city is not as effective as in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Tran Phuoc Son noted his agency has recently paid special attention to shortening the time taken for handling online business registration procedures to 1 or 2 days compared with traditional paper ones. The intention is to encourage local businesses to conduct online business registration.
Also, equipment and experienced IT employees have been arranged at the Department’s one-stop shop in the city’s Administrative Centre in order to help people to register their businesses online.
