After getting approval from the Da Nang government, a total of 68 billion VND will go to expand the existing Da Nang Data Centre within the framework of the ongoing smart city building project. Of this, 65 billion VND is expected to be granted by the city budget, whist the remainder will come from the city’s information technology development fund. 

Implemented during the 2019 – 2021 period, the expansion of the centre aims to create an intelligent platform and database applications, smartise already-formed applications in order to better serve the general public, and make a shift from traditional urban management method to digital one.

Focus will be on building a specialised server infrastructure system for artificial intelligence technology, computing and storage, and creating an IT infrastructure system for network transmission, and auxiliary devices.
