Deputy PM urges Da Nang to make its port a major seaport in Central Viet Nam
During his Saturday visit to the Da Nang Port, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Vuong Dinh Hue underlined the significance of developing the city's port into a major seaport in the central region.

In particular, Deputy PM Hue highly appreciated the port for its remarkable achievements gained in recent years, especially this year witnessing a high growth in the total volume of cargo transported through the port.
On behalf of the national government leaders, the visiting high-ranking government official presented Tet gifts worth 50 million VND in total, along with 10 tonnes of rice, to the port’s staff.

By late this year, the total volume of cargo transported through the port is likely to have reached a growth rate of nearly 20%, with its revenues and profits increasing by more than 16% and over 20%, respectively.
The port so far this year welcomed a total of more than 112 cruise ship arrivals, up 4% versus the year-ago period. Such luxury cruise ship as Costa Atlantica and World Dream have brought a large number of high-end foreign passengers to Da Nang.
