In addition to annual year-end sales events, Black Friday, which originates from the USA and is considered as one of the biggest shopping days of the year, has become a popular shopping event in the city, and Viet Nam as a whole.

A bustling shopping atmosphere has been seen at fashion, cosmetics, and children's toys shops along such major streets as Le Duan, Phan Chau Trinh, Nguyen Van Linh, and Hoang Dieu.

The excitement can be felt at some shopping centres like Vincom, BigC, and Lotte Mart.

In particular, the Lemino store at Vincom is offering up to 80% discount on its fashion products, including handbags, purses, and wallets. Meanwhile, the Coup TX store is providing its customers with Black Friday discounts of up to 70% on its over 70 fashion products like clothes, footwear, and hats.

Besides, on 23 and 25 November, buyers saw thousand items of home appliances on sale for 40% off at the Dien May Xanh store chains across the city, and they also found great deals on many products here.

Black Friday falls on the fourth Friday of November, following Thanksgiving Day in the USA. It is widely seen as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. This is the great opportunity for retailers to gain more market share and increase the number of shoppers, as well as for low-income buyers to get high-quality products of famous brand names at reasonable prices.

According to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, hundreds of retailers have registered for offering sales valued at hundreds of billions of VND until New Year 2020.

However, buyers should choose products carefully, with a focus on quality and after-sales services rather than just low prices. You should be frugal and discrete about your purchases, as many seemed to splurge on unnecessary deals.
