The upgrade of the 11.5km-long Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan section of the Ho Chi Minh Highway is estimated to cost about 2,105 billion VND. Of this, the costs for site clearance and resettlement work will be 890 billion VND, whilst the relocation of high voltage power lines will cost 155 billion VND.

As part of this project, the La Son-Hoa Lien route is scheduled to open to traffic in December 2019, whilst the construction of the Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan route is expected to begin in early 2020 and to be completed by December 2020.

Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho urged the Da Nang authorities to promptly adjust their plan for building 7.5m-wide road surface and 9m-high roadbed for the La Son-Hoa Lien route. He noted that the focus should be on accelerating the site clearance and compensation work for the route.

Chairman Tho pledged to accelerate the site clearance and compensation work for the Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan route in a bid to ensure the on-schedule progress of the La Son-Tuy Loan route.
