Following recent approval from the Da Nang People's Committee, appeals for domestic and foreign investment will be made for the implementation of 57 key projects during the 2020-2025 period.

The approved projects involved in various aspects, namely education, health care, tourism-services-commerce, culture and sports, information technology-industrial infrastructure, hi-tech industry, environmental improvement, transport-infrastructure-logistics, and hi-tech agriculture.

Notable amongst these projects are such large-scale ones as the Lien Chieu mega-port, which is expected to use 3,426.3 billion VND from the State budget and 3,951.8 billion VND from the private sector, 54,500 billion VND mass transit system featuring metros and tramways, the relocation of the city’s railway station and urban redevelopment totaling 12,636 billion VND, parking areas worth a total of 2,500 billion VND, a 3,000 billion VND solid waste treatment plant, a 2,138 billion VND smart city building project, 4,377 billion VND Hoa Xuan sports complex, horse-racing course and horse breeding centre totaling an estimated 4,554 billion VND, a 900 billion VND underground entertainment and shopping centre, the 11,000 billion VND high-quality International Cancer Treatment Centre, and a 2,252 billion VND project involving the infrastructure upgrade of the city’s International Airport to enhance its operation capacity and the building of routes connecting the venue to the western part of the city.
