According to a resolution adopted at the recently-concluded 12^th session of the Da Nang People’s Council in its 9^th tenure for the 2016 - 2021 term, 3 additional projects will be added to the list of the city’s key projects which will be implemented during the 2016 - 2020 period.

They are the upgrade of the city’s Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital, the construction of the second campus of the Da Nang General Hospital in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Quy Ward, and the building of parking lots across the city, including the second stage of the smart multi-storey car park, located at 255 Phan Chau Trinh, parking facilities at 166 Hai Phong, 172 Nguyen Chi Thanh, 10 Ly Thuong Kiet, A2 Nguyen Van Linh, and at 51A Ly Tu Trong.

In particular, a total of 1,830 billion VND from the city budget will go to the upgrade and expansion of the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital. In detail, focus will be on increasing the number of patient beds by 400 to 1,000, renovating the main building, building new tropical medicine wards and accommodation blocks, and re-arranging specialist wards.
