Facilitating Yokohama businesses to invest into the city
A business matching forum between Da Nang and Yokohama enterprises in the aspects of investment, energy saving, industrial and domestic wastewater treatment, and smarter city building, took place in Da Nang on Friday.

Attending the event were representatives of 20 businesses and Yokohama International Cooperation Agency in Japan, led by Director of the Agency Toru Hashimoto.
Also, present at the event were leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Authority of the Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks in Da Nang.
In his remarks at the event, Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Tran Phuoc Son thanked the Yokohama government and its businesses for their active support for Da Nang to successfully organise the 9th Da Nang Urban Development Forum in Yokohama from 9 -11 September.
Mr Son added, at the forum, leaders of Da Nang and Yokohama cities witnessed the signing ceremonies of cooperative agreements between departments and agencies of the two localities. In particular, a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting the bilateral cooperation relations between Da Nang and Yokohama during the 2019-2022 period, with the focus on such aspects as hi-tech, IT, smart city, energy saving, and environment.
He vowed that very favourable conditions would be created for investors from Yokohama City to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang.
For his part, Director Toru Hashimoto highly lauded the all-around cooperation between Da Nang and Yokohama cities in recent years.
The Japanese guest highly applauded the Da Nang leaders for collecting oppions on cooperation areas. This showed the city's determination and efforts in building Da Nang into a smarter, environmentally-friendly, and model city in not only Viet Nam, but also in Southeast Asia, and Asia as a whole.
