Mr Le Tan Thanh Tung, the Deputy General Director of Vitours, pointed out to the fact that community-based ecotourism is very inviting to international tourists, especially those from European countries, and the USA.

He added that Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Bac Commune boasts great potential for the development of such new kind of tourism thanks to its pristine natural landscapes and amazing cultural festivals of the Co Tu ethnic minority people there.

As for Lien Chieu District, Mr Tung highlighted the importance of developing tours to the Nam O fish sauce Village, the Hai Van Gate, and Hoa Bac Commune, or attractive boat tours on the Cu De River, in a bid to increase tourist arrivals in the city.

In a similar vein, Mr Le Thien Tu, the Director of V.E.I Travel Co Ltd, underlined the necessity to develop the specific tourism products to bring wonderful experience for local residents and visitors.

Special attention should be paid to developing tours to explore the northwestern part of the city by tourist coaches, boats, and bicycles, and 2 day/1 night tours to experience the distinctive culture of the Co Tu ethnic community.

Included will be making miniatures of the Tuy Loan rice paper village and the Nam O Fish Sauce Village to develop these sites into inviting places to domestic and foreign visitors. In addition, restaurants serving rustic specialities of localities will be set up.
