In these days leading up to the Tet Festival, many people tend to select the most eye-catching and qualified Tet baskets to be offered as gifts to their relatives, friends and business partners.

Therefore, retailers are displaying many kinds of Tet gift hampers to serve the shopping and gifting needs of both business and individual customers.

Nhat Linh, an employee of a mini supermarket on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, said her supermarket is offering dozen of already-wrapped baskets of different kinds in order to meet clients’ diverse tastes and demands.

She added the price of each basket depends on the quantity and quality of the items they contain, and they range in price from 200,000 VND to over one million VND.

Gift baskets on sale at supermarkets and retail stores include typical items for Tet such as confectionery, cooking oil, soft drinks, instant coffee, wine, and jams.

Most of the eye-catching baskets feature Vietnamese high-quality products of famous and popular domestic brand names. Included are G7 and Trung Nguyen coffee, Bibica, Danisa, Kinh Do and Hai Ha confectionery, and Khanh Hoa birds nest.

Mrs Yen, the owner of a confectionery stall at the Han Market, remarked apart from Tet baskets of domestic canned items, imported products such as macadamia nuts, and fried fruits are preferred by customers.

According to retailers, consumers should buy only from reputable shops and select products with well-known brand names to ensure they get high-quality items.
