Following the decision by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on 6 January, the 1^st stage of the Da Nang Dedicated Information Technology (IT) Park was officially set up in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Lien Commune with a total area of 131ha.

The project operates in accordance with functions and tasks of the dedicated IT parks as specified at Article 4 of the Decree No 154/2013/ND-CP about stipulating on the concentrated IT parks.

It is allowed to enjoy preferential policies as stipulated in the above-mentioned decree, and to benefit from other incentives as prescribed in the national Law for dedicated IT parks.

The costs for site clearance and technical infrastructure construction work are funded by the budgets of the national and local governments in accordance with the national law.

Developers of the 1^st stage of the Dedicated IT Park gain access to preferential loans from the Viet Nam Development Bank.

The municipal People's Committee will be responsible for enhancing the State management of projects in the IT Park, and attracting more domestic and foreign investment into such aspects as IT, electronics and telecommunications in the Park.
