Vietjet Air announces new flights between Viet Nam and Japan
Budget carrier Vietjet Air announced on Monday it will launch 5 new routes between Vietnamese and Japanese localities this year.

The announcement ceremony took plave in Da Nang, and it was attended by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of the Intersectoral Steering Committee for International Economic Integration, and Mr Toshihiro Nikai, Secretary General of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan cum Chairman of the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.
According to a spokesperson for Vietjet Air, the new routes will connect Ha Noi with Nagoya, Fukuoka and Kagoshima, Ho Chi Minh City with Nagoya, and Da Nang with Nagoya.
Nagoya and Fukuoka are the third and fourth largest cities of Japan, whilst Kagoshima has large number of Vietnamese populations.
To date, Vietjet Air has operated a total of 10 non-stop routes linking Viet Nam’s biggest cities of Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, with such Japanese localities as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Kagoshima. This offers customers unrivalled choice and times when selecting their flights. In addition, it helps to strengthen the extensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan.
