This is the first time self-service check-in kiosks have been applied to customers in Viet Nam and will help passengers save time when checking in their luggage.
In addition, the move will help passengers avoid the long-queues that build up in check-in areas of major airports, especially during the hectic Lunar New Year period.
As a result, passengers will now be able to weigh their own luggage at the kiosks, enter the luggage information into the system, print the luggage tag, and then proceed to take their luggage to the Viet Nam Airlines’s reception desk.
Following this, the luggage will then be put onto the conveyor belt once the information on the boarding pass and the baggage tag is confirmed to match the actual baggage claim.
