City remains safe place to visit amid Covid-19 outbreak
Da Nang remains a safe destination for both domestic and foreign travellers despite the ongoing coronavirus concerns.

This statement made by Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh was written in her letter sent to tour operators and visitor arrivals in the city on Saturday.
In her letter, Director Hanh provided information about the city’s efforts to prevent and control the virus.
Also in her letter, Mrs Hanh said as of 1.30 pm on 14 February, no confirmed cases of the coronavirus had been reported in the city.
She remarked that her department has closely worked with relevant agencies to take actions to prevent the possible spread of the virus to the city, and ensure the safety of visitor arrivals.
Attractions and tourist companies in the city have exerted every effort to prevent and control the virus by spraying disinfectant and offering free face masks to visitors.
In addition, Mrs Hanh noted that such attractions in the city as the Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Marble Mountain Tourist Area, the Museum of Da Nang, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Linh Ung Pagda, and the Son Tra Peninsula, remain open to the public.
