Beaches have been not as crowded as they have been before the outbreak of the virus began in China. However, we can easily see many foreigners taking the sunbath, or lying down on the sand on beaches.

Mr Radley Kline from the USA said he had learned about Covid-19 before arriving in Da Nang. He remarked that the city remained a safe destination for both domestic and foreign travellers.

He said that he had his body temperature and previous journeys checked by the hotel’s staff before checking in the hotel. “I love to take leisurely walks on beaches to feel the sand between my toes, and take a deep breath to enjoy fresh air. I like to walk around the city, too” the American visitor noted.

Unlike other foreign tourists who love sunbathing on the beach, Yoshida from Japan and her friends like to go surfing at sea.

Ms Yoshida said she and her friends regularly updated coronavirus-related information, and know that Da Nang remains a safe place for travel, so they decided to make a trip to explore this city.

The Japanese girl said Da Nang beaches were very beautiful, and waves were very suitable for surfing.

Mr Nguyen Binh Minh and his wife from Ha Noi said that this was the 2nd time they had visited Da Nang. They said that they felt comfortable and secure during their stay in the city.

In particular, such popular attractions across the city as the Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Marble Mountains Tourist Area and the Museum of Cham Sculpture have been crowded with tourists at both home and abroad over recent days.

For example, the Museum of Cham Sculpture welcomed a large number of foreigners in the morning of 20 February.

Mrs Jennie Turner from the Australian city of Brisbane said she felt very secure during her stay in Da Nang because there are currently no confirmed cases of the virus in the city.

In a similar vein, Mr Robert Graeme from Canberra City in Australia said he and his wife had booked a tour to Da Nang in late last year. This was a long-awaited trip for them, so they decided not to cancel their tour amid the coronavirus fears.

In addition, sightseeing boats operating on the city’s Han River have still attracted a large number of passengers amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

Most notably, two luxury cruise ships Silver Spirit and Crystal Symphony docked at the Tien Sa Port on 18 and 20 February respectively, together carrying a total of 344 passengers from European countries to the city.

A spokesperson for the municipal Department of Tourism revealed that two more cruise ships will bring European passengers to the city by late February.
