After getting PM’s approval, the project’s investors will have the right to use the former railway station site, surrounding vacant land of the new railway station to be built, and some of the city’s land lots for their commercial purposes in accordance with the city’s regulations.

Also, the municipal authorities are asking permission from the national government leader to conduct a tender exercise under the national law to select tenders to implement the railway station removal project.

The 2-staged railway station removal project included in the city’s master plan for 2030, with a vision toward 2050, is set to cost more than 5.7 trillion VND.

The 1st stage of the project is estimated to cost over 3,393 billion VND (approximately 149.622 million USD). Included is the construction of 18.26km of new railtrack, a new passenger terminal, and the upgrade of the Le Trach goods station.

Also, this stage will also cover the reconstruction of the Nam O and Quan Nam bridges, an overpass at a road-railway crossing, and 4 crossroads at intersections.

A synchronous signaling system will be installed, and locomotive equipment at the existing railway station will be moved to the new one.

Meanwhile, the 2nd stage will focus on rebuilding the Kim Lien Station, 4 overpasses and a synchronous signal system connecting with Vinh - Nha Trang project at a total cost of 2,371 billion VND (equivalent to 102.527 million USD).
