Boosting digital marketing campaigns to help the city's tourism bounce back
As part of Da Nang’s action plans to help its tourism industry recover from the coronavirus crisis, the municipal Department of Tourism has created a wide range of online marketing strategies in a bid to increase domestic and international arrivals in the city in the coming time.

Ms Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the municipal Tourism Promotion Centre, said there has been a slightly increase in the number of Da Nang residents who travel to neighbouring localities as the Covid-19 outbreak is brought under control in the city, and Viet Nam as a whole. Ms An remarked that the municipal Tourism Promotion Centre has developed action plans to attract domestic visitors to the city in the time ahead.
In particular, a focus is on conducting online marketing campaigns, including the ‘See You in Da Nang’ campaign launched by the city’s Tourism Promotion Centre . Also, the priority is given to the articles about the city’s tourism in Vietnamese, English, Japanese, South Korean, and Chinese languages published in social networks every month.
In the coming time, the municipal Department of Tourism will work with bloggers and representatives from travel and media agencies from both home and abroad to advertise tourism products and attractions in Da Nang.

As coronavirus is continuing its spread across the world, with more than 5.6 million confirmed cases in 188 countries, the city will launch the ‘Go Back to Da Nang’ campaign with a focus on publishing spectacular photos, videos and articles about Da Nang in social networks.
Meanwhile, the ‘Da Nang Thanks You’ campaign will be launched for the post-pandemic future.
In addition, a series of activities to promote Da Nang's tourism in India is scheduled to take place between September and December.
Mr Vijay Mohan, the Chairman of the Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA), said his organisation will organise 8 seminars for between 80 and 150 people each to advertise Da Nang's tourism in such Indian localities as New Delhi and Mumbai in the near future.
Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh remarked top priority will be given to targeting potential sources of domestic visitors to Da Nang from such localities as Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City over the forthcoming summer holiday.
