No cases of tour cancellation have been reported so far in the city.

Similarly, today and tomorrow, the city-based Vietravel company is expected to welcome about 30 groups delegations with a combined total of 1,270 visitors to Da Nang.

According to Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung, all local attractions were asked to guide their visitors to strictly follow the city’s coronavirus prevention measures.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism has refuted a rumour that a large number of tourists rushed to the city’s airport to run away the city on Friday afternoon due to fears of more suspected Covid-19 infections as previously reported on some unreliable social networks.

In related news, the Vietnamese national government began to suspend all international flights to and from the Da Nang airport on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the operation of domestic flights is still permitted at the airport.

Rumour came amid the fact that the whole city is racing against time to contain the Covid-19 after the latest coronavirus case involving a 57-year-old man, a resident of Lien Chieu District, was reported in the city.

This patient has tested positive for the virus five times, taking Viet Nam's total Covid-19 cases to 416, and marking the first case of community transmission in Viet Nam in 100 days. No fatalities have been reported in Viet Nam to date.

Till date, 365 patients have been given the all-clear for the coronavirus, while the remainder are receiving treatment at medical facilities across the country.

There are currently 11,815 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or entering Viet Nam from pandemic-hit regions being quarantined across Viet Nam: 147 at hospitals, 10,993 at other facilities, and 675 at home.
