According to DITP, although Japan is currently undergoing the complicated situation of COVID-19 pandemic, partners from this East Asian country have handed over equipment and components on time.
Covering an area of 1,000m2, the plant specialises in manufacturing electronic components and printed circuit boards for exports. It is designed to churn out 7,000,000 products per year.
As scheduled, the installation of the imported equipment will be completed by October. Meanwhile, the plant will be put into official operation early next year.
Once completed, the SMT plant will become the first of its kind to operate in Da Nang's IP Park. Noticeably, the plant is highly expected to create a foundation for accelerating the manufacturing of hi-tech electronics and precision mechanics, thereby helping promote the development of Viet Nam's support industries.
