Da Nang asks for help from Vietnamese Ministry of Transport to bring immigrants home

The Da Nang government has asked for help from the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport to bring immigrant students and workers stranded in the city home amid coronavirus crisis.
Da Nang has asked the Ministry of Transport and the Viet Nam Railway Corporation to arrange 2 trains to help stranded immigrants return home while ensuring strict practice of infection prevention and control measures. |
The Da Nang government has asked the Ministry of Transport and the Viet Nam Railway Corporation to arrange two special trains to bring the stranded return home. One train will depart in Da Nang and arrive in Ha Noi, whilst the other will be en route from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, there are about 10,000 immigrant students and workers stranded in the city, and they are unable to return home due to travel restrictions issued by Da Nang government in response to a new wave of Covid-19 infections.
