Da Nang has attracted 56 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects totalling over 118 million USD in the first half of 2020.

Da Nang’s success in attracting FDI reflects the central coastal city’s position as the top spot for FDI in Central Viet Nam and Central highlands, according to the Foreign Investment Agency of the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The spread of the coronavirus has had a negative impact on FDI companies operating in Central Viet Nam, and in Viet Nam as a whole.

Many businesses have been dissolved or have had their business activities temporarily suspended.

The Foreign Investment Agency of the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment are urging the authorities of central regional localities to take drastic actions to contain the pandemic soon, and support their local businesses through the coronavirus outbreak.
