Such hashtags as #Bestrong DaNang, #StaystrongDaNang, #DaNangfighting and #iloveDanang are among meaningful messages that young employees from the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centres and others working in the local tourism industry have created on social media.  With the intention of uplifting the spirits in their hometown in Da Nang in the tough combat against Covid-19, this type of metadata tag has received high attention and praise from large numbers of local residents in this pandemic-hit locality and tourists from both home and aboard.

Mr Nguyen Dac Huan, Head of Network Communications Group, in charge of online marketing of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, said that, shortly since Da Nang has faced a second wave of Covid-19 infections late last month, the Centre immediately took the initiative to launch a campaign during which all locals are encouraged to support their city's efforts to win coronavirus fight.

On its Instagram and Facebook pages, all articles posted on the social networks highlight the landmark hashtag: #staystrongDaNang.

“At this very stressful time when the whole city is combating against the Covid-19 pandemic, let's spread love in our community through the simple yet deeply meaningful deeds.  In fact, the love will make your mental health more cheerful, boost your immune system and create a strong motivation to win coronavirus fight” strongly affirmed Huan.

Apart from individuals of different ages, many of the city-based hotels have also showed their active response to uplift the spirits of residents in Da Nang, and in the whole country at large, with their practical acts.

In recent days, many hotels across the city have spread their sentimental attachment to the city by lighting up vacant rooms in the shape of a heart.  These venues have likely spotted an eye-grabbing addition to the city’s skyline.

These hotels include the Danang Golden Bay, the Muong Thanh Luxury Danang and the Vinpearl Condotel Riverfront Danang.

The Son Tra District- based Danang Golden Bay, for instance, has lit up the windows in a total of 65 rooms which are blocked off to guests in the shape of a heart, in a bid to show solidarity and support to the city’s fight against Covid-19.

The hotel’s staff has spent much time on configuring this highly impressive display which runs from 6:00pm until 11:00pm on daily basis during this ongoing compulsory social distancing period.

A hotel manager said “We are trying to convey a message of love and hope for Da Nang during the coronavirus crisis.  We hope that Da Nang will soon be safe and sound, and remain to be an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign travelers”.
