Currently, more than 73,000 people are employed at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and other IPs across Da Nang. This huge workforce plays an important role in production activities, hereby making considerable contribution to Da Nang’s economic growth.

Companies are maintaining their production activities with very special heed given to strictly implementing drastic measures so as to ensure ultimate safety for their staff at the workplace.

Companies have worked closely with relevant local agencies to trace close contacts of people carrying the coronavirus.  Those who have links to the Covid-19 patients are forced to make their medical declarations and get self-isolated at home to ensure safety for themselves and others.

Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd., located on Street No 5, Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District, is now on stream to maintain daily production activities as normal.

Mr Nguyen Van Phu, the company’s Director said his unit has received a large number of orders, so regular production maintenance is very necessary for the time being.

In order to ensure the safety in the workplace, the company has asked its 2,500 employees to drastically comply with the compulsory infection prevention measures.

With regard to basic rules, the employees are required to queue for having their body temperatures measured and disinfecting their hands before entering their workplace.  All of them are asked to wear face coverings at all times while in the workplace.

In a similar move, many businesses operating in other IPs have taken more proactive measures to prevent their staff from potential exposure to the deadly novel coronavirus.

Bustling working ambiance has still been recorded in the Viet Hoa Electronics Co., Ltd. located in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park as a total of over 4,000 employees now highly concentrate on fulfilling their assigned professional tasks.

According to Mr Do Danh Hung, the Chairman of the Union Trade organisation at the company, Viet Hoa must maintain its operation so as to ensure the stable income of its employees and ensure the successful fulfillment of its customers’ order.

With a large number of workers here, the company has actively implemented effective measures to curb the spread of the virus in the best possible way in tandem with reassuring its staff.

At present, only vehicles transporting production materials and goodstuff are permitted to enter the company.

Meanwhile, the company has taken the initiative to reschedule work shifts and meal timing to prevent overcrowding. Currently, many employees are allowed to work for 4 consecutive days and take 2 days off to ensure their safety.

Face-to-face meetings or event are now highly recommended to be replaced by teleconference or online events to prevent possible infections.

In addition, contingency plans to timely deal with possible Covid-19 –catching cases have been mapped out by the company.
