Apart from taking drastic actions to tackle coronavirus, the Da Nang government is developing effective solutions to help businesses quickly recover from Covid-19, hereby stimulating the city's socio-economic development, and ensuring social welfare for local residents.

Special attention will be paid to improving the efficiency of public spending, cutting by 70% in expenses for government employees on overseas work trips, and reducing  unnecessary expenses.

Greater efforts will be made to attract a new wave of domestic and foreign investors with a focus on improving the city's infrastructure system, increasing investment promotion activities, issuing more support policies for investors, and training high-quality human resources.

Heed will be paid to speeding up administrative reform in a synchronous manner, providing more online public services, and promoting IT applications in the city's e-government system and boosting the deployment of a project to build Da Nang into a smart city.

Importance will be attached to seeking solutions to improving Da Nang's Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) Rankings, with a focus on such sub-indices as market entry costs, land access, transparency, and equitable competitive environment.

The city will accelerate its data-driven digital transformation in its public service.

The city authorities will support local businesses to sort out the problems relating investment procedures and site clearance and compensation work.

More robust and practical support policies for startups will be issued by the city administration, whilst dedicated individuals and organisations will be honoured for their contributions to their community in the city's coronavirus fight and post-Covid-19 economic recovery period.
