The Da Nang government has given the green light to the implementation of the Biodiversity Conservation Project by 2030, with a vision toward 2045, in the city with highly practical measures.  

Under the project, the top priority will be given to ensuring the sustainable development of the city's important and specific natural ecosystems, including endangered and rare species, and genetic resources with high economic values.

Also, appropriate ways will be found out to promote the rational use of biodiversity resources in line with the city's socio-economic progress strategies.

Besides, effective measures to create ecosystem services for climate change adaptation and reduce negative impacts on biodiversity and threatened species will be taken.

Another heed will be paid to protecting existing natural reserves in tandem with establishing new ones in the time to come.

The municipal Department of Natural Resources and the Environment will take responsibility for ensuring the on-schedule implementation of the project.
