The Da Nang Youth Union-launched contest for innovative startup ideas is now open to seek the best entries for the ambitious target of building the city into one of the major socio-economic centres in Viet Nam, and Southeast Asia as a whole, in the future.

Entry opened on 7 September and will close on 23 October.

The contest is open to students from public and private universities and junior colleges across the city, local Youth Union members, young people wanting to start a business, and the owners of enterprises whose operation period do not exceed 5 years from the date of being granted the first business registration certificate.

Candidates can compete individually or in groups with a maximum of 5 people.

Entries that showcase the application of technology in such aspects as information technology, biotechnology, automation, environmental protection, new energy, artificial intelligence, machine learning and Internet of things to create high quality products and services with sustainable value will receive high welcome.

The preliminary round will take place from 26 October to 1 November. A total of 15 best entries will advance to the final round which is slated to take place from 4 to 8 November.

The contest’s awards ceremony will take place on 25 November. One first, 2 second, 2 third and 10 consolation prizes, plus the ‘Potential projects’ award will go to outstanding entrants.
