Plans rolled out to develop digital firms in Da Nang
The Da Nang government has issued specific plan to drive the development of digital technology companies across the city in the time ahead following the Prime Minister-signed Directive 01/CT-TTg on the expansion of the country’s digital business network.
Importance will be attached to helping local businesses gradually master the advanced digital technologies, take the initiative in developing their new products and create their new services, solutions and business models. The intention is to creating more ‘made-in-Da Nang’ products which help to drive sustainable growth of the city, and enhance the living standards of local residents.
In addition, local digital technology companies will actively be involved in boosting the city’s digital economic development, smart city and e-government building, and applying digital technology achievements in many socio-economic aspects in Da Nang, and those of Viet Nam at large.
In an attempt to realise Da Nang's goals, more preferential mechanisms and support policies will be issued to develop more digital technology businesses, with a focus on promoting e-commerce activities, facilitating IT enterprises to access businesses premises and loans from local financial resources.
In addition, heed will be paid to developing digital infrastructure, digital products, qualified human resources and conducting marketing strategies for ‘made-in-Da Nang’ products.
It is known that, with digital firms’ support and contributions, the country’s economy is forecast to grow strongly and stably to place it among high-income countries by 2045. Digitalisation is expected to help Viet Nam achieve breakthroughs and catch up with other countries that have started their digital transformation.
