Public transport services in Da Nang resume operations but with restrictions
The Public transport system in Da Nang has resumed restricted services from 7 September while maintaining social distancing norms following recent approval by Da Nang government.
Fixed passenger coaches to and from Da Nang-based coach stations, taxi services, contracted vehicles, tourist coaches, four-wheel electric vehicles, intra-city and inter-provincial bus services connecting Da Nang with its neighbouring localities of Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue provinces, and inland waterway passenger transport services, have resumed operations.
However, some certain restrictions imposed by the Da Nang government still remain in place in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.
In particular, passenger transport vehicles are limited to carry not more than half of available seats, with their limited passenger number of not more than 30 passengers, including drivers and service personnel.
Road transport operators are required to measure body temperatures of passengers before letting them get on/off vehicles, and disinfect their coaches after their journey ends.
All passengers are required to strictly follow disease prevention and control measures, including wearing face coverings, cleaning their hands before getting on vehicles, completing their health declaration electronically, limiting intake of foods during the trip, and avoiding spiting indiscriminately.
Any one using public transport services who shows Covid-19 infection symptoms (cough, fever and shortness of breath) can contact Ministry of Health's support helpline for free advice at 1900-9095 and 1900-3228.
