During the virtual event, Chairman of Tho took the opportunity to call on more Pittsburgh businesses to set up their own branches or representative offices in Da Nang in the coming time. Besides, their willingness to share business administration experiences, promote technology transfer and provide smart products to those in Da Nang would be highly appreciated. Also, Da Nang is looking forward to attracting more Pittsburgh investment flow into its dedicated IT Park and Software Park No 2.
In particular, the Da Nang government chief highlighted the importance of holding virtual meetings between Da Nang’s agencies and their Pittsburgh partners for boosting bilateral cooperation, for instance, between the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted and the Mt. Lebanon Senior High School; the Department of Science and Technology and Business Incubator in Da Nang and the Pittsburgh Technology Council; and the municipal Department of Information and Communication with IT companies based in this US city.

It is highly encouraging that Pittsburgh will continue helping Da Nang enhance its resilience against climate change, extreme weather and rising sea levels.
The Da Nang leader also highly lauded Pittsburgh for its effective response to Covid-19. In particular, scientists of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine scientists announced a potential vaccine against SARS-CoV-2. When tested in mice, the vaccine, delivered through a fingertip-sized patch, produces antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2 at quantities thought to be sufficient for neutralizing the virus. The vaccine is delivered through a fingertip-sized skin patch. The research team calls this vaccine PittCoVacc, short for Pittsburgh Coronavirus Vaccine.
