Da Nang boosts international cooperation on research and innovative startups
Over recent years, Da Nang has made full use of its potentials and strengths to many remarkable strides during its landmark journey of becoming a dynamic, creative city, promoting its potentials and strengths. There is no doubt that Da Nang’s achievements have partly been attributed to the science and technology sector - an indispensable driver for Da Nang's socio-economic development.

Since its official inception in 2010, the Da Nang Hi-tech Park has been on the right track to become an attractive magnet for domestic and foreign investors, leveraging the scientific and technological development of Da Nang and the Central Viet Nam, and Central Highlands at large.
One of the most prominent international deals the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority (DHPIZA) to have entered with worldwide businesses is the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ai20X.
Ai20X is a premier business network focused on accelerating innovation to the global market, promoting global innovation startups in Silicon Valley and launching products in the USA.
The bilateral agreement feature cooperation schemes on developing the Da Nang Hi-tech Park into the best place to conduct business incubation and technological innovation, and serve as the gateway for deploying technology transfer, taking advantage of high quality human resources, developing prestigious experts and promoting investment into the Park.
Under the Park’s development orientations by 2030, the top priority will be given to welcoming potential projects involved in such aspects as ICT industry, nanotech, biotech hi-tech, and research and development (R&D), with high investment rate, in light of the thriving Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0.
In addition, the Park has cooperated with Korea Nano Technology Research Society (KoNTRS) to apply nanotechnology into such aspects as biomedical, energy, environmental improvement and IT.
It also entered into a cooperative deal with the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology in China to acquiring experiences in developing R &D centres, especially in the fields of semiconductor development and high quality human resources.
Besides, great efforts have been taken to appeal for more cooperation from potential partners such as the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to boost the operation of networking and start-up support activities in Da Nang.
Work is getting underway on track on a research-development, training and enterprises incubation covering over 100ha in the Park.
In fact, not only does this area entice more high-tech start-up projects to the Park, but it also rises to fame as an ideally potential venue for start-up support organisations and investment funds from both home and abroad in the time to come.
